Fact Friday 410 - Did you know Rowe?
Share
Happy Friday!
Jerri, Rhyne, my son Jaylen, and I were on UNC Charlotte's campus this week scouting photo and video shoot locations for an upcoming release and Brittany Kicklighter (a friend and true gem to the University) pointed me to an interesting fact about Oliver R. Rowe, for whom the Rowe Arts Building is named. Rowe Arts is home to Rowe Recital Hall and Rowe Galleries.
The lobby of the building houses a paining of Oliver Rowe by Charles Clement Tucker and the plate underneath reads:
Trustee of Charlotte College, 1958-1965; Foundation Director; Patron of the Arts; Champion of the University's Cause.
Until next week.
